Defense Secretary Gates may stay continue in his role
Ret. Gen. Jim Jones is on his way as being candidate for national security adviser

Pardon me?

Well, it seems to be hard to get the names of those Pardoned today but ALAS I got snoopy and found it.  This is today's pardons.  I hand it to him, he has not pardoned a lot in his term.  He has been a bit reluctant.  171 so far.  More to come I am sure...can we say Scooter?  How about Cheyney?  Not on the list yet....but I am sure...it is coming...

Pardons as of today's list....

—Leslie Owen Collier of Charleston, Mo.
She was convicted for unauthorized use of a pesticide and violating the Bald and Golden Eagle Protection Act.  SHE POISONED PROTECTED ANIMALS!  SHE SHOULD BURN!

—Milton Kirk Cordes of Rapid City, S.D. Cordes was convicted of conspiracy to violate the Lacey Act, which prohibits importation into the country of wildlife taken in violation of conservation laws.  Ok, really.  They are GUILTY!

—Richard Micheal Culpepper of Mahomet, Ill., who was convicted of making false statements to the federal government.  Politics, fine...

—Brenda Jean Dolenz-Helmer of Fort Worth, Texas, for reporting or helping cover up a crime.  You screwed with the Police?  Let her burn...

—Andrew Foster Harley of Falls Church, Va. Harley was convicted of wrongful use and distribution of marijuana and cocaine.  YOU PARDONED A DRUG DEALER?????

—Obie Gene Helton of Rossville, Ga., whose offense was unauthorized acquisition of food stamps.  Fine, who hasn't stolen food sta...wait...food stamps?

—Carey C. Hice Sr. of Travelers Rest, S.C., who was convicted of income tax evasion.  Time to pay up...but not jail.  Fine.

—Geneva Yvonne Hogg of Jacksonville, Fla., convicted of bank embezzlement.  YOU STOLE MONEY FROM A BANK, YOU ARE SUPPOSED TO BE IN JAIL!

—William Hoyle McCright Jr. of Midland, Texas, who was sentenced for making false entries, books, reports or statements to a bank.  CHEATER CHEATER CHEATER!  Wait, Midland, isn't close to the Bush Ranch...little fishy eh?

—Paul Julian McCurdy of Sulphur, Okla., who was sentenced for misapplication of bank funds.  Ok, you filled out the wrong forms, give 'em a pardon.

—Robert Earl Mohon Jr. of Grant, Ala., who was convicted of conspiracy to distribute marijuana.  DRAG DEAL #2!  Disgusting.  LET 'EM ROT!

—Ronald Alan Mohrhoff of Los Angeles, who was convicted for unlawful use of a telephone in a narcotics felony.  Unlawful use of a telephone?  What, did they shove it up their butt with the little coke baggie?

—Daniel Figh Pue III of Conroe, Texas, convicted of illegal treatment, storage and disposal of a hazardous waste without a permit.  Ok, you tried to poison your neighbors.  WTF!  ROT!

—Orion Lynn Vick of White Hall, Ark., who was convicted of aiding and abetting the theft of government property.  That, is just DUMB!  PEOPLE ACCOUNT FOR THE GOVERNMENTS PROPERTY!  The more you know...genius.

So really, what we have is a failure to communicate.  Communicate the idea that our presidents are always letting people off the hook,...well, if they know them or have a friend of a friend of a friend who knows them.  Because presidents don't have folks in their life who screw up.  OMG WHAT WOULD WE DO if our presidents had faults!  GAST!  Oh well.  Enjoy.  More to come when they happen.

AG Details....

"Mukasey appeared in earnest about it and appeared at first simply to be choking up. Soon, what at first appeared to be choking up blended into slurred words. And twenty to thirty seconds later he collapsed, his fall broken by a nearby FBI agent.

The room fell silent. After a moment there were shouts from the table where Mukasey's wife was sitting, calling to turn down the stage lights. A woman in an evening gown, presumably a doctor, ran up to the stage and the FBI agents hovering over Mukasey allowed her to attend to him.

The eyewitness told me that Mukasey collapsed at approximinately 10:06 and was taken off on a stretcher at approximately 10:33.

The one additional detail is that this eyewitness says that the medical personnel attending to Mukasey were talking to him for at least part of that period, at one point asking him "can you wiggle your toes." In other words, it appears that Mukasey did regain consciousness to at least some degree before being taken to the hospital."

UMICH Cartogram

A real representation of the country's blue/red voting districts.  It includes purple for the in the middle votes, changes the size of the states due to their population and the electoral college vote count, plus it is calculated on the county level.  It gives you a sense as to where we really are, not what the news is telling you.

Holy Crap...Joe Biden's Job...VP.

You are trying to kill me Roma lol.

Here we go.
VP Duties...
Become the President should the President, god help us, become not able to serve
     - due to the death
     - resignation
     - medical impairment
Act as the presiding officer of the Senate, President of the Senate
     - Two primary duties
          - Cast a vote if theres a tie
          - Certify the vote count of the Electoral College

Depending on the President, quite often they are asked to do the following...
Chairman of the Board, NASA
Board Member of the Smithsonian
President's Policy Advisor
Conduct the ceremonial duties of the President
     -  State Funerals and such

Some VP's were not very ecstatic about their jobs...
VP John Garner, served under FDRsaid, the VP position wasn't "worth a pitcher of warm piss,"

Overall, the VP is picked for their usefulness to get Electoral College votes.  After that, most of them are worth crapolla!  They do nothing but sit there.  The only time they are useful is when the President gives them a job.  Otherwise, they are just to sit there and look busy/pretty.  Nice life for 221,000 buckaroos!

CENTRISTS like the middle ground regarding government control of the economy and personal behavior. Depending on the issue, they sometimes favor government intervention and sometimes favor individual freedom of choice. Centrists pride themselves on keeping an open mind, tend to oppose political extremes, and emphasize what they describe as "practical" solutions to problems.
